Dm is a fairly common chord, but it doesn’t show up quite as often in easy beginner-type songs, probably because some of the other chords that would be involved in key signatures that use Dm can be a bit difficult for a beginner.

For some odd reason …
For some odd reason I have never had to use dm in a song that I have learned. Is that by chance or is a rare chord. Seems I hardly know the chord and I been playing almost a year now. Nice video Justin, any help in chord changes is a big plus. I now using your A to D and to E method. Thank You.
