Ok, you have had a look at some different instructional courses and are wondering which one is the right guitar lead lessson for you. What you need to do is check if the course has the following:
- One of the most important things for learning to play lead guitar is to be taught by a qualified professional instructor. There is a big difference between being taught basic guitar and lead guitar, your instructor needs to be good.

- Being able to play by ear is a very important skill, especially for a lead guitarist. If you are going to do a solo then you need to be able to listen to the key of the music and make your solo tie in with it. Your playing should not sound out of place.
- Get testimonials from people that have already completed the course. If others have successfully completed it satisfactorily then it is a good course to try.
