Good Reasons You Should Get Ready Prior To Playing Your GuitarWhy You Need To Get Set Before Starting Playing Your Guitar

You may not assume that playing a guitar is as hardcore as playing more physical sports, but it is. Do you think you could run a mile without stretching your legs first? Then you would understand playing continuously well without stretching your fingers is close to impossible. You probably don’t think this, but playing a guitar can mean some serious hand and arm injury. And we all don’t want to get hurt, do we? Which is the reason why you shouldn’t forget to warm up before any guitar session or gig. Have you ever experienced that discomfort in your hands while playing your favorite song? Continuing playing that way could lead to serious injury. If that discomfort escalates, you need to stop. Just warm up next time so it doesn’t happen again. Doing a few scales where you run up and down a few times is a good way to warm up. Try to loosen your muscles by doing scales and going faster gradually. After that comes chord transitions. Make a few minimal chord transitions and then work it out from there. Start simple and increase your speed just like when you were doing scales. When you feel as though you?re ready, try to maintain a comfortable playing position. Keep your hands where they can play comfortable and give them enough space for playing. If you feel pain, no matter how little, change positions. You?ll be able to avoid straining yourself while rocking out. Remind yourself to warm-up everytime you pick up your guitar. Do this for a safe and comfortable guitar playing experience.
