What is the most you would pay for guitar lessons?

23rd August 2010

I was looking up guitar lessons and some came up to be like $900 or like $50 an hour.
I find that to be too much and there will be better deals but i was wondering how much is just the right amount in your opinions?

I paid 10 dollars for a half hour about 8 years ago. You might want to just use the free resources online and get your feet wet before you go forking over that much money to learn the basics. http://www.FuzzyMonkeyTabs.com has video guitar tabs for the Super Mario Bros music. I think lessons are a good idea but so many people can teach you the basics online.

$30 an hour would be pushing it unless they were a well-known instructor

That seems a bit much, but it also depends on your current skill level, the level you wish to attain, the credibility of the instructor + what types of guitar they can teach.
