It’s gonna sound obvious what you’re doing…
Isn’t it messed up that the reason why a guy playing like that would have a good amount of fans because he makes it a point to play in a way where the pattern is jagged and inconsistent to hide the fact that what he is doing is easy.
It’s a shame that what people think of as “good guitar” is in reality more of magic trick, and really only feels noteworthy because of their ignorance. If the fans only knew how music worked…. if only

anyone who is above …
anyone who is above mediocre level guitar player understands the difference between friedman and broderick. the later being a technical player, but technique is not the most important thing. the most important things are originality and soul. thats why marty is better. proof is rust in peace best megadeth album ever made with marty friedman. end of story

@anestischatzibeis who is laughing at mustaine?? mustaine could kick their ass. hes a martial artist and he died and came back to life. these fouls should shut the up because mustaine would kick their asses. when i was at the last megadeth show i was screaming metallica and dave smiled. hehe

@anestischatzibeis yes bro i agree with you 100% rust in piece is off course a masterpiece. marty really showed his genius there. i love his variations on exotic scales. i love the “eastern flavor” that his guitar work has. as for kirk hammet. i believe mustaine said it best, “he is good for as much as he knows” cheers.

@cryostation well yeah megadeth have so many cool solos and riffs!!!!the best example is rust in peace!metallica have different sound they re more in the rythm part of metal thats why i think metallica are james’s guitar not kirk’s!Kirk just follows..james is realy cool!so is mustaine(the second is even better..)

i feel this …
i feel this complicates things.. id learn the scales and modes, then u can see lots of riffs on the board. as apposed to playing by ear. ur only as good as what u can figure out. say u wanted to go from minor to diminished, and u have no idea how to achieve the diminished sound. playing by ear and finding the notes is very difficult specially if u want to solo.
his way works for rhythm well tho.
